NBA Champions D’Angelo Russell Iceman Edition Bobblehead
Despite the typically mild Bay Area weather, Warriors guard D’Angelo Russell is intent on bringing an icy microclimate to the Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco-in addition to his playmaking ability and long-range shooting.
The second overall selection in the 2015 NBA Draft, Russell has had no shortage of big moments throughout his first four seasons in the league with the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets, punctuating clutch performances with his signature “ice in my veins” celebration.
In his career, Russell has hit nine shots to tie or take the lead with less than one minute remaining, including a game-winning three-pointer with two seconds left against the Minnesota Timberwolves on April 9, 2017.
Acquired by Golden State in a sign-and-trade with Brooklyn on July 7, 2019, Russell tallied career highs of 21.1 points and 7.0 assists in 2018-19 and helped the Nets to their first postseason berth in four seasons.
He posted three 40-point games-all of which came in two-point wins on the road-and hit a career-best 36.9 percent from three-point range, finishing ninth in the league in three-point field goals made, Russell earned his first career NBA Player of the Week honor after averaging 28.0 points during a 3-0 week in January before making his first career NBA All-Star appearance..
